Practitioner's Light Therapy Manual Vol. 2

This is the newest manual in the New Wave Therapy program. This manual goes even further into the study and application of pain management concepts. This manual concentrates on the root cause of pain by working directly with the "root nerve" located within the spinal system. It also explains the various locations of these specific nerves and the areas they control when it comes to pain management.

This manual is more of a practitioner quality manual and does need previous experience and knowledge working within the pain management field; be it light therapy or any other alternative protocol. Having experience in this area of pain management will allow the practitioner to better understand the information contained within this manual.

Light therapy has been around for over 50 years. It emits specific wavelengths of light to restore, repair, and protect body tissues that have been injured, degenerated, or at risk of dying. While varying wavelengths affect the body differently, the most effective wavelengths for internal healing range from 625nm to 900 nm; that is why New Wave Therapy concentrates on 660nm and 850nm wavelengths.

Red light penetrates 8 to 10mm into the skin of the body; it also has the ability to energize cells to accelerate renewal processes and combat the aging process by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also increases blood circulation, and skin hydration promotes lymph drainage, and soothes both irritation and redness leaving skin smoother and plumper.

Light Emitting Diode (LED) based therapy exposes light to the skin's surface, activates the skin's photoreceptors, and allows skin cells to absorb the energy. The light from the LED penetrates deeply into the skin treating tissue from the inside out; this then accelerates cell biochemical circulation and stimulates the production of collagen along with other processes. The different wavelengths of light combat different issues, such as: inhibiting Pacnes bacteria, reducing inflammation, and stimulating collagen formation. LED therapy works to improve oxygenation, and blood circulation, and aid in lymphatic drainage.
